Barclays Premier Life

Today we completed, mastered and uploaded for manufacture the content for the third iteration of Barclays Premier Life CDs. We created this in partnership with one of our disc manufacturing partners.

This is to do with a new service they have. We’ll be honest and say we’ve not had a chance to check out if the deal is any good or not – it probably is for some people, but you can find out for yourself by going into their branches and grabbing one of these discs.

Ellesse Birthday videos

Thanks to our good friends at Infinite Wisdom Productions and their client S&X Media, Eight Eyed Sea Bass was required to handle some video work for clothing and sports brand Ellesse.

We were provided with a large pile of tapes, and instructions. Having digitised a bunch of the footage into the edit suite, we then had to sort these into a single timeline in bunches of relevant shots with some titles explaining what each bunch of clips were.

The footage itself was shot in Italy for Ellesse’s birthday shindig, with various celebrities turning up to show their support. Looked like there was much enjoyment had by all the guests.

We were pleased to work on this project, providing new masters ready for broadcast at various TV stations around the world.

Emergency DVDs for Donnington

The cool riders at the California Superbike School came to us to bag a quick rush run of DVDs for them to take to an event that night.

This event was no ordinary event…. it was infact an occasional at the Donnington racing circuit here in the UK. It was part of a shindig being held by Alpinestars. The whole exercise was itself a component of the British Moto GP race.
Awesome.

I actually was able to be present at Donnington on the day of the race, and got to see Rossi up close and personal with his big grin and big hair. What a day.

Visual Effects for a short film

Currently we’re working on some visual effects and animation for a short film. The film is supported by Screen West Midlands, and is one of this year’s Digishorts.

We can’t really reveal anything about it yet as it’s not our place to do so, but we’re excited and pleased to be doing this, for sure.

I think we’re going to be pretty busy working on this for the coming weeks along with other work, so we may be a bit quiet for the time being….

Hope the World is seeming brighter for all of you.

BLOODFACE

No, we’re not calling anyone names…. read on, and we’ll explain.

Eight Eyed Sea Bass are very proud to announce the start of their grading work on a music video for the NYC artist Lisa Li-lund, for the dreamy yet haunting track ‘Bloodface’.

The video uses miniature sets and puppets, wonderfully crafted by Billie Achilleos and David Curtis-Ring.

This new piece sees EESB once again working alongside Birmingham’s very talented Ben Lister (Intercom // Night Time // Because I can) who Directed the shoot, with Zac Nicholson (The Boat That Rocked // This is England // Dead Mans Shoes) drafted in as Director of Photography using the awesome RED Camera accompanied by a stonking set of prime lenses from Cooke.

The video is turning out just lovely so far, even if we do say so ourselves.

We’ll be showing you the finished article when it’s all polished off, wrapped up and ready for release - if you don’t mind, that is!

Until then, keep well all.
